Apparently Chinese Bloggers want to invade Vietnam now. Now I’m not saying Chinese bloggers have a strong grip on reality at the best of times – lets face it, half of them believe their own government’s lies, and the other half are just white-noise-generating script-robots, whether of the silicon or human variety – but this is better than the usual idiocy these folk produce.
Lets stop and think about this.
Vietnam, who beat the Chinese, then the Japanese, then the French, then the Americans, then the Chinese again, when each of these tired to invade. At least two of whom were, at the time, major, undefeated superpowers – and I mean the US and Japan here, before any Chinese bloggers get excited. Vietnam which has terrain about near perfect for guerilla war, which has some of the worlds leading practitioners of guerilla warfare still alive and well, and again, which has already chased China off in the recent past. Vietnam which is proud and independent and very unlikely to let China bully it except through an outright invasion – because unlike Chinese bloggers the Vietnamese know recent history.
Against China who’ve never beaten anyone, ever, except elderly Tibetan monks.
Yeah, this should be a good show. China’s well, Vietnam, coming right up.
Suppose that’s what you get when you come from an education system that teaches you to parrot, not think, and which stops you reading half the internet. Including, I’m guessing, this.
So what’s the point in even discussing this? That can be today’s question.
